Graduation Day!

Mom is so proud!

Dad is so proud!

High Five, big brother!

Ashes, ashes, we all fall DOWN!

Ring around the rosy, pocket full of posies...

Accepting his certificate from Ms. Lori.

We all attended Luke's graduation today. (Sniffle, sniffle - How will I get the grocery shopping done now?) :) It was a nice event. No cap and gown yet, but he did get to walk across the stage to accept a certificate from his teacher, Ms. Lori. His class then performed a "skit" (it was actually just two rounds of Ring Around the Rosy) before heading out to the playground for a picnic of hot dogs, fruit, and treats. (Luke was in heaven!) The whole thing was pretty silly, but I did find myself looking back on the past school year with fond memories. Like of Luke's first day of school wearing his "big boy" underwear and carrying his first backpack and lunchbox. And the drive home that day when I asked him how school was and he answered, "I hit a boy." He really has grown up A LOT this year. Some things I'll miss, some I won't, but I will definitely look back on it all as a great learning experience - for us both. NOTE: Sorry for the blurry pics. We're looking into a new fancy shmancy camera to avoid these mishaps.

Yikes, I am behind in my comments. Don't know how I missed the opportunity before to say something about graduation.

So what I want to know: these days, does everybody graduate every year? Should there be graduation presents? Will this end up deflating the traditional graduations: high school and college? Or the more, the merrier?

I love all y'all. Mimi
