Luke's Photo Shoot

Luke's new favorite activity has been to take pictures with my camera (thank goodness for digital). Steve and I get a kick out of watching him shoot away at random things around the house. Sounds pretty easy-going for me, don't ya think? Maybe I'm secretly hoping that he'll break it so I can get the new fancy shmancy one I've been drooling over. Bwaaahaha!

So as you've probably noticed, I pretty much have given up on Friday's favorites. (That didn't last long, huh?) I will continue to do them, just not every week. Even I was getting sick of picture after picture of Zach in his highchair and Luke half naked :).

By the way, I'm a little surprised that I haven't been receiving more harassing e-mails and phone calls from all the grandparents insisting that I update our blog. Hmmmm, maybe all of you were getting sick of them too? :)

This week's big excitement was Zach's birthday party. Hard to believe our little guy is already one. Where did the time go?

We all attended Luke's graduation today. (Sniffle, sniffle - How will I get the grocery shopping done now?) :) It was a nice event. No cap and gown yet, but he did get to walk across the stage to accept a certificate from his teacher, Ms. Lori. His class then performed a "skit" (it was actually just two rounds of Ring Around the Rosy) before heading out to the playground for a picnic of hot dogs, fruit, and treats. (Luke was in heaven!) The whole thing was pretty silly, but I did find myself looking back on the past school year with fond memories. Like of Luke's first day of school wearing his "big boy" underwear and carrying his first backpack and lunchbox. And the drive home that day when I asked him how school was and he answered, "I hit a boy." He really has grown up A LOT this year. Some things I'll miss, some I won't, but I will definitely look back on it all as a great learning experience - for us both. NOTE: Sorry for the blurry pics. We're looking into a new fancy shmancy camera to avoid these mishaps.
